Heilung was founded in 2014 in Copenhagen Denmark by Vocalist

Kai Uwe Faust a German Tattoo Artist who specialize in old Norse

Tattoos & Danish Producer Christopher Jaul who had operated his

own Recording Studio Lava in Copenhagen since 2003 . He admired

Faust’s visual work as a Tattoo Artist they struck a deal . Faust

offered Jaul some free tattoos in exchange for help recording some

poems . Thus Heilung was started later in 2015 . Maria Franz

( Norway ) Jaul long time girlfriend & singer in a progressive Rock/

Pop Band Euzen in which Jaul also played Piano & Electronics

started to work with Heilung originally session vocalist in 2015

The band realised there Debut Studio Album Ofnir ( 2015 ) & soon

after became the bands third member. Years Active 2014 / 2023.

Genres Folk / Neo Folk / Ethnic Music / Industrial . Instruments

they use Drums with Horse Skin painted with human blood . Two

drums with Dear Skin . Drum with Goat Skin . Bones including

human forearm bone & deer bones. A buffalo horn rattle . A clay

rattle with human ashes a Hindu Ritual Bell . Antiques from temples.

A reconstructed silver cup from the Viking Age . A Ravanahatta /

an ancient instrument used in India & other rattles / whistles &

instruments . Faust’s throat singing recalls the Tibetan or Mongolian
