1975 . He launched a successful solo career with Sols bury hill
as his first single that went straight into the charts. His Fifth
Studio Album SO ( 1986 ) . The Albums most successful single
Sledgehammer won a record 9 MTV awards at the 1987 MTV
Music Awards & according to a report in 2011 , it was MTV most
played music video of all time. Gabriel has won 3 Brit awards
winning Best British Male in 1987. 6 Grammy Awards & Thirteen
