Queen Of The Stone Age is an American Rock Band formed in 1996
in Seattle Washington . The Band was founded by Vocalist Josh
Homme who has been the only constant member throughout
Multiple Line Ups changes . Band also know as Gamma Ray ( 1996)
Genres Alternative Rock / Stone Rock / Desert Rock / Hard Rock &
Alternative Metal . Years active 1996 – 2023 . Formed after the
dissolution of homes previous Band Kyuss . The Band originated
from the spread of the Palm Dessert Music Scene . After the break
up of Kyuss in 1995 Josh briefly joined screaming trees as a touring
Guitarist before deciding to form a new Band Gamma Ray in 1996 .
After a German Band of the same name they change the name to
Queens Of The Stone Age . & released their self titled Debut Studio
Album in 1998. & have released 8 Studio Albums . The Band have
been Nominated for Grammy Awards seven times . Four times for
Best Hard Rock Performance . Twice for Best Rock Album & once
