The Smashing Pumpkins are a alternative Rock Band formed in
Chicago Illinois in 1988 by Billy Corgan Frontman / Guitarist .
D , Arcy Wretzky Bassist . James Iha Guitarist . Jimmy Chamberlin
Drums . This band has undergone several line up changes since
there Reunion in 2006 with Cogan being the sole constant member
since it’s Inception . After the break up of Gothic band The Marked.
Singer / Guitarist Billy Cogan left St Petersburg Florida to return to
his native City Chicago where he took a job in a Record Store . While
working there he met Guitarist James Iha . The pair soon began
writing songs together with the aid of a drum machine. Debut
Studio Album Gish released May 26 1991 . 2nd Studio Album
Siamese Dream released July 27th 1993 They have done 12
Studio Albums & 7 Live Albums & 6 Compilation Albums Years
