ESCAPE FROM THE SHADOW GARDEN TOUR

Magnum are an English Hard Rock & AOR Band . They were

formed in Birmingham in 1972 by Tony Clarkin Guitar / Songwriter

& Bob Catley Vocals . In order to appear as the Resident Band at

the Rum Runners Nightclub in the City . Magnum have gone several

changes in personnel over the years. However the core of Catley &

Clarkin remain . Magnum most significant early success was Chase

The Dragon in 1982 which reached Number 17 in the UK Album

Charts . It included several songs that would become mainstays

of the Bands Live Sets . Notably ( Soldier On The Line ) ( Sacred

Hour ) & ( The Spirit ) . On A Storytellers Night is Their Fifth Studio

Album released on 13th May 1985 on FM Records in the UK &

on Polydor Records in the Germany this help them break into

Europe . The Album is widely considered to be Magnums Break-

through Album & remains it’s best selling Album to date . In 1995

Magnum’s split however Clarkin & Catley continued working together

now under the name Hard Rain until 1999 . Then Magnum reformed

in 2001 & has enjoyed late career of commercial success . Their most

recent Album The Monsters Roars was released in January 2022.
