Sound Garden was an American Rock Band formed in Seattle
Washington in 1984 by Singer / Drummer Chris Cornell with Kim
Thayll Lead Guitar & Hiro Bass . Cornell switched to Rhythm Guitar
1985 & was replaced on Drums initially Scott Sundquist & latter
by Matt Cameron 1986 . Hero Yamamoto left in 1980 & was replaced
initially by Jason Everyman & shortly after by Ben Shepherd . The
Band Dissolved in 1997 & Reformed in 2010 following Cornell’s death
in 2017 . & a Year of uncertainty regarding the bands future. Thayll
declared in October 2018 that Sound garden had Disbanded once
again . Though they did reunite in January 2019 for a one off Concert
in Tribute to Cornell . The Band helped to popularize Grunge Music a
Style of Alternative Rock that developed in America Pacific Northwest
in the Mid 1980 . Sound garden their Debut Studio Album Ultramega
OK in 1988 by California Based Independent Label SST Records although
the Album did not sell well Nationally it garnered Critical Acclaim & was
nominated for a Grammy Award in 1990 . Their Second Studio Album
Louder Than Love ( 1989 ) was recorded Independently. But after they
signed with A&M Records in 1989 . Making them one of the First Grunge
Bands to sign for a Major Label . Sound garden achieved it’s biggest
success in 1994 Studio Album Super unknown which Debuted at Number
one on the billboard 200 & Yielded the Grammy Award Winning Singles
