Eric Patrick Clapton CBE ( Born 30th March 1945 ) Ripley Surrey England .
Eric Clapton is an English Rock & Blues Guitarist & Singer & Songwriter.
He is regarded as one of the most successful & influential Guitarist in
Rock Music . He is ranked Second in Rolling Stones List of the 100
Greatest Guitarist of all Time . After playing in a number of different Bands.
Clapton joined the Yardbirds from 1963 -1965 & John Mayall & the Blues
Breakers from 1965 -1966 after leaving Mayall . He formed the Power Trio
Cream with Drummer Ginger Baker & Bassist & Vocalist Jack Bruce . In
which Clapton played Sustained Blues Improvisations & Arty Blues based
Psychedelic Pop . After 4 successful Studio Albums Cream broke up in
November 1968 . Clapton then formed the Blues Rock Band Blind Faith
with Ginger Baker & Steve Winwood & Rice Gretch recording one Studio
Album & Performing one Tour before they broke up . Clapton then toured
with Delaney & Bonnie & recorded his first Solo Album Eric Clapton ( 1970)
Before forming Derek & The Dominos with Bobby Whitlock , Carl Radle &
Jim Gordon . Like Blind Faith the Band only lasted one Album which
included Layla one of Clapton’s Signature Songs . Clapton continued to
record a number of successful Solo Albums over the next several Decades.
including a 1974 cover of Bob Marley’s I Shoot The Sheriff ( Which helped
Reggae reach the Mass Market . The Country infused 5th Studio Album
Slow Hand ( 1977 ) following the tragic Death of his Son Conor in 1971
Clapton’s grief expressed in the Song Tears In Heaven one of the most
Beautiful Songs I have ever heard with Lyrics that make you Cry. Eric is
