Mostly Autumn are an English Rock Band from York North
Yorkshire England . The Group formed in 1995 & have build their
Reputation through constant Touring never signing to a Major Label.
They produced Music heavenly influenced by 1970s Progressive Rock.
According to the BBC. Mostly Autumn fuse music of Genesis & Pink
Floyd with Celtic Themes , Hard Rock & strong emotional melodies .
They have also been compared with other Progressive Bands from
the same era such as Renaissance , Jethro Tull & Camel blended
with Traditional Folk Music . Later Album’s also included more
Contemporary Influences . ( History ) Mostly Autumn was formed in
the Mid 1990s . The Original Line Up included several members of
One Stoned Snowman . A Pink Floyd Tribute Band .The Band’s
Founding Line up Consisted of Band Leader Bryan Josh Vocals &
Guitar , Heidi Widdop Vocals , Ian Jennings Keyboards , Liam
Davision Guitar , Alun Hughes Bass & occasional Keyboards , Bob
Faulds Violin , Kev Gibbons Whistles & Chris Waldon Drums. Mostly
Autumn’s First Live Shows were supported by One Stoned Snowman
or Visa Versa . One Man Snowman ‘s Final Concert was a Farewell
Shoe in December 1995 & was indeed supported by Mostly Autumn.
Mostly Autumn’s Original Rhythm Section of Alun Hughes & Chris
Walton left . The Band has seen lots of Line Up changes they were
Replaced by Bassist Stuart Carver & Drummer Allan Scott . Shortly
after Widdop was replaced on Vocals by Heather Findlay This Line
Up Recorded their Debut Solo Album For All We Share in 1998.
More Line Up Changes ensured by 1998 when they recorded their
2nd Studio Album The Spirit Of Autumn Past Gibbons & Scott had
replaced by Angela Goldthorpe & Rob Mc Neil respectively. In 2000
( As a three piece Josh , Findlay & Goldthorpe they achieved a
support slot for Blackmore Nights on their Under The Violet Moon
Tour . Bringing them a wider Audience . On the cover Artwork for
following Blackmores Night Studio Album Fires At Midnight(2001)
Heather Findley provided the Illustration for the Song Hanging Tree.
On Mostly Autumn Third Studio Album The Last Bright Light ( 2001)
