Grand Magus are a three piece Heavy Metal Band from Stockholm
Sweden that draws influence from Classic Heavy Metal Bands &
Elements of Doom Metal . The Band was formed in 1996 under the
name Smack by former Cardinal Fang Vocalist Janne ” JB ” Christoffer-
sson Bassist Matt ” Fox ” Sinner & Iggy on Drums , He departed in early
1998 & Frank ” Trisse ” Liefvendhl replaced him . He left in 2006 & was
replaced by Sebastian ” Seb ” Sippola Drums & left in 2012 when Ludwig
” Ludde Witt took over on Drums ( 2012 – 2024 ) . Their Debut Studio
Album” Grand Magus” was released on 5th November 2001 through Rise
Above Records ( Who would release the Bands ( First Four Albums ) . This
Album continues to contribute to the Bands Cult Status with Doom &
Heavy Metal Fans . 2nd Studio Album “Monument” released 25th November
2003 . 3rd Studio Album Wolf’s Return released 14th June 2005 4th
Studio Album ” Iron Will “released 9th June 2008 . Was announced in
December 2009 that Roadrunner Records was to release Grand Magus 5th
Studio Album ” Hammer To The North ” became a breakout for the Band
Triumphing in soundchecks of both German Hard Rock & Metal Hammer
Magazines . The Album peaked at Number 42 on the German Album Chart.
