Blue Oyster Cult is an American Hard Rock Band from Ling Island New
York Formed in 1967 . The Band originally consisted of Guitarist & Vocalist
Donald ” Buck Dharma ” Roeser, Bassist Andrew Winters , Drummer Albert
Bouchard Keyboardist & Later Rhythm Guitarist & Vocalist Allen Lanier &
Rhythm Guitarist & Keyboardist John Wiesenthal . The Band has been through
many Line Up Changes includes Roeser Vocalist & Guitarist Eric Bloom Since
(1969 ) Bassist & B/V Danny Miranda from 1995 -2004 ) ( 2007 ) & since
2017 . Rhythm Guitarist , Keyboardist & Vocalist Richie Castellano & Drummer
Jules Radino both since (2004 ) The Band has sold 25 Million Records World-
wide ” including 7 Million in the United States . The Band’s Fusion of Hard Rock
with Psychedelia & penchant for occult , fantastical & tongue in cheek lyrics.
Had a major influence on heavy metal music . They developed a cult following
& while achieving mainstream Hits like ” (Don’t Fear) The Reaper ” ( 1976 )
& ” Burnin’ For You ” ( 1981 ) . Their commercial success was limited both
songs , & others such as ” Godzilla ” ( 1977 ) remain Classic Rock Radio
Staples . The Band were early adopters of the Music Video Format . Their
video’s received heavy rotation on MTV in it’s early period . Their Debut
Studio Album Blue Oyster Cult ( 1972 ) & their Second Studio Album
Tyranny & Mutation ( 1973 ) . Third Studio Album Secret Treaties ( 1974)
& their Latest Studio Album Ghost Stories (2024 ) . They have done 15
