Skyline Studio Album is the Seventh Studio Album by Yan Tiersen . The Album
was Published by Everything Calm & released through Mute Records on 17th
October 2011 in Europe & six months later , on 17th April 2012 via Anti in
North America . Skyline was preceded by two singles both released in 7″
Singles Format by Mute Records ” Monuments ” released on 15th August 2011
& ” I’m Gonna Live Anyhow ” released in the following September the record
also released Two Official Music Video’s on it’s official You Tube Channel
” Monuments ” on the 4th July 2011 Directed by Ivan Rusev on 4th July 2011
& ” The Gutter ” Directed by Claire Harbottle & edited by Ben Baldwin on 16th
September 2011. The Album Published by Everything Calm was released in
Europe & in the United Kingdom on 17th October 2011 in C/D & LP Formats
History Yann Pierre Tiersen ( Born 23 June 1970 ( Age 54 ) Brest Brittany
France . He started to learn to play Piano at the age of Four , The Violin at the
age of Six & received Classical training at several musical academies in Rennes,
Nantes & Boulogne Sur . Then in the early 1980 . He was influenced as a
teenager by the Punk Subcultures & the Bands like The Stooges & Joy Division.
When he was 13. He broke his Violin & Bought an Electric Guitar & Formed a
Rock Band ” . Debut & National acclaim ( 1993 – 2000 ) He has done 12 Studio
Studio Albums & Three Sound Tracks & 3 Live Albums . Before releasing Film
Scores under his own name . Tiersen recorded music for a number of plays &
short films . During the summer of 1993 Tiersen stayed in his apartment with
an Electric Guitar , a Violin & Piano Accordion recording music on his own. He
was guided by what he calls a musical anarchic version & by the end of the
summer , Tiersen had recorded over forty tracks , which would be used later
on the first two Albums . Tiersen Debut Studio Album ” La Valse Des Monstres
was Limited to 1,000 Copies was First released in June 1995 by Independent
Record Label Sire Terra Firma & then Reissued by Nancy based Record Label
ICI D’ailieurs in 1998 as a Second Album of it’s catalogue . The 17 Track Album
was inspired by & written for the theatrical adaptations of top Tod Browning’s
1932 Classic Freaks & Yukio Mishima 1955 version of Noh Play the Damask
Drum in April 1996 . Tiersen rose to Domestic Fame upon the release of his
Third Studio Album ” Le Phare ” ( The Lighthouse ) in 1998 . The Album was
recorded in self imposed seclusion on the Isle Of Ushant ( Breton Enez Eusa
French Quessant at the end of the English Channel which marks the most
North – Western Point of Territorial France . I can’t find any information if he
had a few live musicians with him . Most of Yann Tiersen Solo Concerts was
him on his own Mixing & Playing Instruments & Synthesizers & Programming
also used Live Musicians Sometimes . Years Active (1995 -2024 ) Genres
