age 73 San Antonio Texas US. ) . Is an American Singer Songwriter & Guitarist.
He has Won Five Grammy Awards for his Eponymous Debut Album ” Christopher
Cross ” released in 1979 . The Singles ” Sailing ” ( 1979 ) & ” Arthur’s Theme
( Best That You Can Do ) from the 1981 ( Film Arthur ) Peaked at Number One
on the US. Billboard Hot 100. ” Sailing ” earned Three Grammy’s in 1980 while
” Arthurs Theme won in 1982 The Oscar for Best Original Song ( With Co
Composers Burt Bacharach , Carole Bayer , Sager & Peter Allan . Cross’s Second
Studio Album ” Another Page ” ( 1983 ) Produced ” All Right ” . ” No Time To
Talk & ” Think Of Laura ” . ” All Right ” was used by CBS Sports 1980’s . After
1984 Cross’s commercial success faded as Music Television Channel MTV
grew to dominate the mainstream music scene in the United States , Cross’s
style of music proved to be a bad fit for the Network . & Cross’s brand of
Adult Contemporary music declined in popularity Cross’s Next Two Albums
3rd Studio Album ” Every Turn Of The World ” ( 1985 ) & 4th Studio Album
” Back In My Mind ” ( 1998 ). Did not produce any Top 40 Hits or Reach
Gold or Platinum Status . Cross three more Albums in the 1990’s & although
some of his releases gained Critical Response & he was not able to attract
the Mass Audience he once enjoyed. After his decline to fame in the mid &
Late 1980s. He Toured & Opened for various Acts during the 1990s. He

Toto is an American Rock Band formed in Los Angeles California in
1977. Toto combines elements of Pop / Rock / R & B / Blues & Jazz .
Having released 14 Studio Albums & Sold over 50 Million Records
Worldwide The Group has received several Granny Awards & was
inducted into The Musicians Hall Of Fame & Museum in 2009 David
Paich Keyboards & Vocals . Jeff Porcaro Drums & Vocal had played
together as Session Musicians on several Albums & Formed the David
Hungate Bass Guitar , Steve Lukather Guitar & Vocals Steve Porcaro
Keyboards & Vocals & Bobby Kimball Vocals were recruited before
the release of the Bands eponymous Debut Studio Album ” TOTO ” in
1978 . Led by the Top 5 Single ” Hold The Line ” the Album brought
the Band to Mainstream Attention. Though it was their Fourth Studio
Album TOTO IV which brought them Global Attention ” Africa ” topped
the Billboard Hot 100 while ” Rosanna ” reached Number 2. became
one of the Best – Selling Music Group of their Era . Following TOTO IV
two of the Original Members Hungate & Kimbell departed the Band.
Quite a few changes over the years. History. The members of Toto
were regulars on Albums by Steely Dan , Seals & Crofts , Boz Scragg’s ,
Sony & Cher & many others . Toto climbed the charts Quickly , earning
popularity with the Hit Singles ” Hold The Line ” as well as charting
” I’ll Supply The Love ” & ” Georgy Porgy ” featuring Chery Lynn. Though
the Band was largely dismissed by music critics , it was nominated for
a Granny Award for Best New Artist . Shortly there after in early 1979,
Toto embarked on their First American Tour in support of their Debut
Album ” TOTO ” ( 1978 ) for the Tour Toto brought along two Additional
Musicians Tom Kelly Guitar & B/V & Lenny Castro Percussion to increase
the Depth of the Sound . Castro had appeared with the Group on their
First Studio Album as a session musician & continued to play on every
One of their Albums for the next 40 Years in varying capacities with the
exception of ” Turn Back ” the Band continued to Hire Additional Touring
Musicians for all subsequent Tours over the years of the Band there have
