Grizzly Bear is an American Rock Band from Brooklyn , New York , formed in
2002 for most of it’s tenure , the Band has consisted of Edward Droste Vocal/
Keyboards & Guitar . Daniel Rossen Vocals / Guitar / Banjo & Keyboards . Chris
Taylor Bass Guitar / Woodwinds & Production & B/V . Christopher Bear Drums
& Percussion & B/V . The Band employed both Traditional & Electronic
Instruments & there sound has been categorized as chamber Pop , Psychedelic
Folk & Art Rock . The band was known for their use of vocal harmony with all
for members contributing vocals & lead Vocals alternating between Rossen &
Droste . Initially a solo project for Droste , the First Grizzly Bear Studio Album
” Horn Of Plenty ” ( 2004 ) A Lo Fi Studio Project released on Kanine Records.
The Album featured Drumming contributions from Bear who would go on to
join the project full Time in 2004 along side Taylor & Rossen for live performances
as a Four Piece . the resulting chemistry turned Grizzly Bear into a Band of equal
collaborators with Rossen becoming it’s Co Lead Vocals & Second principal Song-
writer . Taylor adopting the role of Producer & Multi Instrumentalist, the Bands
Second Studio Album ” Yellow House ” released to widespread Critical Acclaim
in 2006 & was the First to feature the Full Grizzly Bear Band .Preceded by the
Single ” Two Weeks ” . The Bands Third Studio Album ” Veckatimest ” ( 2009 )
increased their exposure significantly , reaching number 8 on the Billboard 200
& selling over 220,000 Copies . After extensive Touring , the Band reconverted
for the more experimental & expansive 4th Studio Album ” Shields ” which was
released to further acclaim in ( 2012 ) . The Bands Fifth Studio Album ” Painted
Ruins was released in ( 2017 ) Following the Albums Accompany Tour , the band
entered an extended Hiatus with Droste announcing that he had left the Band
