The Black Heart Orchestra is officially the smallest Orchestra in the World
Two people playing 13 instruments between them Chrissy Mostyn & Rick
Pilkington are a Manchester Duo . Their Music combines Ethereal Vocals
with multi Layered combinations of acoustic instruments such as Guitar &
Mandola , Rock instruments including Electric Guitar , Bass , percussion ,
Plus Piano , Organ ,Electronica & Orchestral & Symphonic they draw on
there backgrounds in Rock / Folk / Electronica & Classical music to create
a sound which has been compared to early Pink Floyd , Steve Reich ,Ludovico
Einaudi , London Grammar & Kate Bush . Originating in 2007 the Band were
Initially know as Blackheart . In 2008 the Band released their Debut Studio
Album ” Indigo ” an album of contemporary Folk / Pop Music which was
Largely Acoustic Guitar Based . This was followed in 2010 with the release
of their Second Studio Album ” Invisible ” an Album very similar in vein to
their Debut Album . Their Third Studio Album songs from ” A Satellite ” was
released in 2013 & its marked by a shift un musical direction . A move from
Folk Contempory Pop emphasis towards a more diverse , complex & expan-
sive Sound . This was the start of the transition from the Band which had
been know as Blackheart to that of The Blackheart Orchestra . 2017 saw
the release of their Fourth Studio Album ” Diving For Roses ” & with a full
transitions to more Orchestrated , multi instrumental & struction Sound.

Space Rock Band Hawkwind it was released on April 18th 2025 By Cherry
Records in C/D Vinyl . Digital Download , & Streaming Formats. Background
described as an Album Focusing on Synth & more straightforward compared
with previous Studio Albums ” The Future Never Waits ” & ” Stories from
Time & Space ” . There latest Studio Album ” There Is No Space For Us ”
consists of Eight Songs with a Total Runtime of over Fifty -Three Minutes.
The Album First Single ” The Co- Pilot was released on March 14th 2025
& the Second Single ” Along Way From Home ” was released on April 4th
2025 . The Vinyl only version of the Album consists of Two Additional
Songs ” Practical Ability ” & ” Second Chance ” HISTORY. Hawkwind are
an English Rock Band known as one of the earliest Space Rock Groups.
Since their Formation in November 1969 Hawkwind have gone through
many Incarnations & have incorporated many different styles into their
Music , including Hard Rock / Progressive Rock & Psychedelic Rock. they
are regarded as an Influential Proto – Punk Band . Their Lyrics often
cover themes of Urban Life & Science Fiction many musicians , Dancers
& Writers have worked with the Band since there Inception. Key Members
of Hawkwind have included Nik Turner , Huw Lloyd – Lawgton , Del
Dettmar , Lenny . Simon King , Robert Calvert , Simon House & Ginger
Baker but the Band are mostly closely associated with their Singer
Songwriter & Guitarist Dave Brock ( 82 ) who founded the Band & is the
remaining Original Member are Best known for the Song ” Silver Machine”
which became a Number Three UK Hit Single in 1972. They had further
Chart Singles with ” Urban Guerrilla ( Another Top 40 Hit ) & ” Shoot Down
The Night” HISTORY ( 1969 Formation ) Dave Brock & Mick Slattery had
been in the London Based Psychedelic ” Famous Cure ” & a meeting with
Bassist John Harrison revealed a mutual interest in Electronic Music which
in Electronic Music , which led the Trio to embark upon a New Musical
Venture together. Seventeen Year Old Drummer Terry Olli’s replied to an
Advert in the Music Weekly . Nik Turner & Michael ” Dick Mik ” Davies ,
old acquaintances of Brock , offered help with Transport & Gear , but were
soon pilled into the Band . Gate-crashing a Local Talent Night at All Saints
Hall , Notting Hill they were seen by BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel who was
in the Audience so impressed enough to tell Event Organiser Douglas Smith
to keep an eye on them . Smith signed them up & got them a Deal with
Liberty Records on the back of a Deal setting up for Cochise . The Band
settled on the Name Hawkwind after briefly being billed as” Group X & “
Hawkwind Zoo ” . A session took place at Abbey Road Studios to Record
Demos of ” Hurry On Sundown ” & other Tracks ( Which were eventually
included on the remastered version of the Groups Debut Studio Album
